I can't believe it has been almost a year since I have posted anything. My oh my, I am not good at this whole blogging thing. hehehe I guess I am a better reader than writer. I am posting today because I am excited to share the news about the show.

I survived my first BIG show all by myself. I mean, I had help but it was a Funktion Junktion show. It was held at my home and was very successful. I had great attendance and many people were very interested in all of my creations. It was wonderful, exciting, tiring and overwhelming all at the same time. I am finally just catching my breath so I decided to post some pictures. I hope you enjoy them. I will see you at the Barn Sale Saturday, October 11th.

I have been so busy working on items for my upcoming show. I can not believe that it is just a few days away. I think I could work 24 hours a day for the next four days and I would still not be finished. I have so much stuff and so many ideas. The possibilities are endless. I am one of the those people who work in organized chaos. I don not do one project at a time. I have fifty going on at the same time. I think I work better when I can multitask. Paint a bunch, sand a bunch, antique a bunch. You get it? That's why my done list is a lot shorter than doing list. If I had more hours before the show I would continue until opening time anyways.
I just wanted to give a quick update. Loved the Junkfest in Carrington. I think I will be making that an annual trip. Awesome!! My stitches have been removed but my knee is still in tough shape. I will have to tell that story some other time.

Great News

Well, I have great news. I am getting ready for a huge sale. I will give out more info soon.

I have decided to get rid of some of my beautiful junk finds. I will be sad to let them go but the customers will be the ones to benefit. I have so many projects that I am making for my sale and so many more in my head. I just hope they will be as great as I vision them.

I am also really excited to travel to JunkFest in Carrington in a few weeks. These girls and I seem like we were cut from the same cloth in ways. I think we have so many things in common. I don't know them but I am a huge fan of their blog. I really love all their unique ideas. I am happy to see that there are other junkers here in ND doing what they love. I can't wait.

Wow! How time flies.

I would love to say - time flies when you are having fun but that wouldn't be entirely true. I have not been keeping up with my blog for so many reasons that I cannot begin to list them all. I haven't stopped reading all the blogs but writing is another story. I always feel that I have nothing of interest to discuss. I enjoy reading so many, by the time I think about writing something myself it is way too late. Excuses - ugh.

Last time I wrote on here I had made alot of promises. It was the beginning of the year and I was so full of hope for a change in lifestyle. Life since then has been very busy. Now it is the beginnning of a new school year. There is once again that sense of hope for change.

I will start this school year with a new vision and a new spirit.

I will keep dreaming about becoming the person I would like to be.

I will take the steps to become happy.

I will be creative, unique and funky.

I will make the effort more everyday.

I will love, listen and laugh more this year.

I will blog about my journey.

These are just few more promises to myself that I am excited about. Let's see if I stick with it.

Today is My Someday . . .again.

Well it has been a long time since I sat down to write on my blog. The last few months have just flown by. I have been super busy. Christmas shopping had me warn out. January freezing temps and snow storms had me bummed. Wow, do I know how to make excuses.

No more. No more excuses for not living the life I want to live. I dream everyday how it is going to be different. I plan and plan but never attempt. I buy clothes that I want to wear-someday. I want to go back to the gym-someday. I decide how I am going to organize my life-someday. I find recipes that I want to cook-someday. I buy healthy food that I should be eating-someday. I watch tv show after tv show telling me how to have a better life-someday. I think of activities to do with my kids-someday. I vow to myself that I will make more time for my friends-someday. I plan on opening that bottle of vitamins-someday. I promise myself that I will get back to my craft room-someday. I will teach my daughter to eat on her own-someday. I will wake up happy-someday.

As God is my witness - Today is My Someday.

I am excited for the new changes. It might not happen all at once but I am ready to start putting myself on my list. I look forward to living my Funktion Junktion life.

Check out the great table. I bought this great mailbox at an auction and looked at it for months. It sat in my back yard and every time I was doing dishes it was there. After I found this window it hit me. A table. Great storage, perfect height, visual interest and unique.

Sometimes you need little reminders around your house. That is why I love artwork with great sayings or thoughts. A little hint is sometimes what you need. I have sayings all over my house. I have always joked that all the signs are saying way too much about me.

Speaking of me, here I am. My husband wanted to take a picture of me pricing things at the last minute. He hates that I am a procrastinator. I feel my best work gets down under pressure.

Ha, ha.

This red entry organizer could have sold ten times. I had so many people interested in it. I will keep my eyes peeled for this type of headboard on every boulevard.

I have a show coming up in a few weeks. I will start taking pictures of more projects and goodies. I just have to figure this all out. :)

Well, this is it. My first time. I am a blog writing virgin no more.

This is my first post and I hope there will be many more. I have been searching and reading many other blogs for the last few months. It has been great reading about so many different people, ideas and projects. I love it.

I have been crafting in my home and have been involved in a few small craft shows the last few years. I am a big fan of homemade artwork and crafts. I try to go to all the local craft shows and check out what others are up to. One of my favorites has been the Barn Sale. I always hoped that I would have the chance to be involved with it someday. Lucky me, a few weeks ago I was reading the local newspaper and there was a want ad reading Crafters Wanted. I immediately called the number and it was for the Barn Sale. Yippee! I was in. Now I had to get my butt in gear and finish all those projects that had been floating around in my head.

I drilled, painted, sanded, cut, screwed, cleaned, labeled, loaded and unloaded. It was amazing. I felt alive. I had such a great time. I met so many wonderful people. I realized that this was my thing. I love looking at items and coming up with something new. I love to put things together with my own two hands. I love talking with people. Yes, crafting and decorating is for me.
